BSL Level 1
Start your BSL journey
BSL Level 1 is ideal for complete beginners. You will learn how to communicate using simple, everyday British Sign Language, build confidence in short conversations and gain an introduction to deaf culture. No previous experience is needed. Available online and in person.
Signature-accredited qualification | 64 guided learning hours | Beginner level
BSL Level 2
BSL Level 2 helps you develop your signing skills and communicate more confidently across a wider range of everyday situations. You will grow your vocabulary, explore BSL grammar and structure, and learn to take part in longer conversations. This course is suitable for learners who have completed Level 1 or have equivalent experience. Available online and in person.
Signature-accredited qualification | 100 guided learning hours | Three assessments
BSL Level 3
BSL Level 3 is for confident signers who want to use BSL in more varied work and social situations. You will deepen your understanding of BSL structure even futher, take part in discussions and debates, and develop the skills to give presentations.
This course is the equivalent of a GCSE, it's suitable for learners who have completed Level 2 or equivalent. Level 3 is an in person course.

Five-Week Beginner Course
A friendly introduction to BSL, If you want to try BSL before committing to a full qualification, this is for you. You will learn useful everyday signs, including greetings, fingerspelling, colours and family signs, and discover the basics of BSL structure and Deaf culture.
No previous experience is needed.
Five weekly sessions | Available online and in person
Deaf Awareness Workshop
The three-hour Deaf Awareness workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to better understand deafness, deaf culture and feel more confident communicating with deaf people.
You will explore practical communication tips, how to get a deaf person’s attention, fingerspelling, useful everyday signs and learn about support available to deaf people.
The course in suitable for individuals, families, teams and community groups and is available online or in-person.
Workplace BSL Training
This is practical BSL training for your team. It will give your team the confidence to communicate more effectively with deaf colleagues, customers and visitors.
The course will not only teach you the basics of the BSL language, it will also be tailored around your organisation, your people and the situations they encounter every day. From customer service and reception teams to schools, healthcare settings and community organisations, these practical sessions will make communication more inclusive.

One-to-One Tuition
Private BSL tuition gives you dedicated support shaped around your own experience, goals and confidence level.
